The 2M Mono features an improved engine, which provides a high level of sonic accuracy. The stylus' tip features a R 18µm Nude Spherical diamond that is an optimal solution for playing mono microgroove LP vinyl records. The cartridge body is manufactured from Hopelex, which ensures high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances.

The 2M Mono uses a strapped output to deliver the same output signal from both sets of pole pins. This effectively eliminates the need for mono-specific equipment, making it possible to enjoy true mono reproduction on any stereo playback system.

Output voltage at 1000 Hz, 5cm/sec. - 4 mV
Stylus type - Nude Spherical
Tracking force, recommended - 1.8 g (18 mN)

Ortofon 2M Mono Special Edition cartridge was specifically created as a tribute to the Mono Beatles albums Set released in 2014.

The cartridge body manufactured from Lexan DMX Piano White, a revolutionary material which ensures high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances. It features a special upgraded engine which provides a high level of sonic accuracy.

Output voltage at 1000 Hz, 5cm/sec. - 3.5 mV
Stylus type - Nude Shibata
Tracking force, recommended - 1.5g (15 mN)

The 2M 78 is designed specifically for the playback of 78 rpm shellac records which require a larger stylus profile. Hence, the 2M 78 stylus' tip is a Spherical diamond. The cartridge body is manufactured from Hopelex, which ensures high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances.

2M 78 uses a strapped output to deliver the same output signal from both sets of pole pins. This effectively eliminates the need for mono-specific equipment, making it possible to enjoy true mono reproduction on any stereo playback system.

Output voltage at 1000 Hz, 5cm/sec. - 4 mV
Stylus type - Spherical
Stylus tip radius - R 65 µm
Tracking force range - 1.6-2.0g (16-20 mN)
Tracking force, recommended - 1.8 g (18 mN)

MC Quintet Mono, Ortofon’s most affordable moving coil mono cartridge is designed for playing mono microgroove vinyl records.

The Quintet Mono will track perfectly through even worn and damaged records and ensure the surface noise control.

Quintet Mono uses a strapped output to deliver the same output signal from both sets of pole pins. This effectively eliminates the need for mono-specific equipment, making it possible to enjoy true mono reproduction on any stereo playback system.

Output voltage at 1 kHz 5 cm/sec - 0.3 mV
Stylus type - Nude Elliptical
Tracking force recommended - 2.3 g (23 mN)

From the Exclusives line of Ortofon cartridges, comes the MC A Mono cartridge.

A characteristic of any true mono cartridge is the absence of response to vertical movement. The cartridge is essentially impervious to the pinching effect which comes into action when the stylus is pushed vertically upward in very narrow grooves. In addition, the response to dust, dirt and wear will be reduced substantially as the vertical component will not be heard.

Output voltage at 1000 Hz, 5cm/sec. - 0.2 mV
Stylus type - Special polished Nude Ortofon Replicant 100 on Boron Cantilever
Stylus tip radius - r/R 5/100 µm
Tracking force, recommended - 2.3 g (23 mN)
