Reflected in the model name, the Progression M550 Mono Amplifier delivers 550/1,100/2,220 watts into 8/4/2 ohms.

New transistors handle six times the power of the previous components and a new DC coupling circuity has improved low frequency performance and extended the bandwidth of the amplifiers. Pairing this advanced front end to the enhanced output stage has improved the dynamic impact, detail retrieval, and spatial integrity of the amplifier’s playback.

The Progression S350 Stereo Amplifier adds a potent stereo option to the Progression family.

Initially used in the Relentless Mono, the output power device provides the foundation for an upgraded output stage. This transistor extends high frequency response, increases power handling 50%, and features tighter tolerance gain matching between complementary NPN/PNP pairs. A wider safe operating area and superior gain linearity provides greater thermal stability throughout the amplifiers’ power delivery. Coupling the new output device to the high efficiency heat sink design affords an increase in operating bias.

The Progression Integrated combines the elegance and detail retrieval of the Progression Preamplifier with the power and dynamic capability of the Progression amplifier topology housed in a chassis the exudes the D’Agostino aesthetic.

The analog platform provides two single-ended inputs and three balanced inputs including a theater pass through. Balanced preamplifier outputs make for convenient inclusion of subwoofer(s) into a system.

The heart and soul of the Progression Integrated Amplifier is essential Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems’ technologies including discrete, balanced, direct coupled circuitry married to a substantial output stage delivering 200WPC into 8 Ohms and 400WPC into 4 Ohms.

The Progression Preamplifier adds new features previously not included in a D’Agostino preamplifier. Most noticeably, the Progression Preamplifier features an optional digital module. The digital module adds coaxial, Toslink, and USB inputs to the analog base model.

The volume control is realized with a stepped balanced resistor ladder, using high-linearity solid-state relays and discrete precision resistors. The bandwidth and transient response of the preamplifier circuitry are unaffected by volume setting. The Progression Preamplifier has two independent outputs that can be individually operated or used simultaneously for driving a second amplifier in a subwoofer based system.

Housed in a separate chassis, the power supply makes use of extensive electrical and magnetic shielding to keep radiated interference away from critical preamplifier circuits. Internal circuitry filters RF noise on the AC power line and compensates for asymmetric power waveforms and DC on the mains. A second DC output is included to power future Progression source components.
